                                                                                                                                                                   Called Angkerte by the Aborigines, the chasm European name honours Mrs Ida Standley who in 1914 became the first school teacher in Alice Springs

when I was young, I still remember seeing a painting of these lovely colour rocks, at friends of my mum and dad ( the wilsons ) then I felt I have to see these one day.. ......the feeling what I had as a child was the same feeling what I had  in 2004..<3
